President Barack Obama thoughts were supported by the grants that are started from his administration to support the individuals who would like to continue their education. As per the call given by the president “every American citizen should commit for himself that he would register for some career training plans or else complete one or more years of higher education which would earn the individual a good job due to which he would not look for the government to provide the livelihood.
Along with the various grants that the administration has introduced it also increased the funds for PELL grants since 2009 where the thought of Obama to expand education opportunities has been announced in Congress joint session held on 24th Feb 2009. PELL is long standing grant program for education which is expanded by the administration as part of the Act Student Aid & Fiscal Responsibility Act, 2009. Also a thought was initiated as part of this to help women to return to college for continuing the education.
PELL is definitely not for women under the category of single mothers. But still there are many grants that are introduced to help women. PELL is a federal program designed to assist low-income level students. This programs which was first introduced in the year 1965 has helped almost 40% of students in almost all US universities and colleges have shared that they have received amounts through these PELL grants.
Over the next few years the percentage of funds for PELL would be increased to support students who should have a minimum age limit of not less than 18 years and should apply through a duly filled in application form. So either men or women should initially explore the PELL grants if they have any financial roadblocks to achieve there degree.
